“Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you.” Matthew 7:7
We can find God in loving acts of charity, unexplained nature, and through fundamental beliefs. God does not merely want us to find out good things about him, but he wants us to engage our hearts in a spiritual quest. Don’t take anything for granted, ask detailed questions. Listen to the testimony of those who followed Jesus. Spend time reading the Gospels and the Pauline letters. Make time to search for God. Evaluate and make a through respond.
Seeking first the kingdom of righteousness is a prerequisite to finding God.
He will not compel us to find him, but God will allow divine intervention to take place in our lives. There is an assurance of salvation and blessing when a thorough search is made. The wise men found Jesus because they were diligent in their pursuit.
Some people look for God in a public building, only to end up finding emptiness. Some people search for God on pilgrimage to the Holy Land and return home with just historical data. Others look for God in a person but ending up been disappointed when they backslide.
The church is indeed a building, where worshipers gather often to fellowship with one another. The church can also be defined as an edifice of lively stones to build up a spiritual habitation; a place where the spirit of God dwells.
The church which is the body of Christ, is a called-out assembly, a covenanted people, but also a place where you can find ideas about God, and find people of power who are united together for a common purpose. The church is a place of worship, where believers can find genuine communication with God in spirit and in truth, as they meet together for prayer and Bible study. The Holy Spirit illuminates the scriptures and guides the believers into all truth.
Most people associate the church with God, but God does not reside in an earthly building made with hands, he resides in us. Notice that Jesus never built any physical church building while he was on earth, but he taught us that we are the building, and he is the cornerstone. God can be found in the Holy Scriptures, which speaks about him and declares his wonderful works.

God can be found through the Holy Scriptures, however, lots of people think that the Bible is a horrible subject to bring up, and they are looking for their god in space, on the moon, in the stars, and even in animals. There are elements of God is in all these, but we have a more sure word of prophecy.
In Old Testament times, God came down to live in the Holy of Hollies inside the Tabernacle, then later on in the Temple, but that was only a temporary abode. And just as his Spirit lived in the Holy of Hollies, Jesus promises that the Comforter would come and reside in our hearts. The Spirit of God can be found in the most obvious place, and that is in the heart of a person.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His, but if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that rose up Jesus from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelled in you. Romans 8.9
The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Romans 8:16
For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the deepest things of God can only be known by his spirit. 1 Corinthinas 2:11
A natural person can not understand or even begin to receive the things of the spirit, because they sound like foolishness to him, they just don’t add up, or make any sense, yet a true Christian finds the Bible relatively easy and every bit understandable.
On the other hand, people can not find God unless they repent and confess their sins, we will not have all the same understanding about God, but we certainly can find him if we sincerely try. Mankind is definitely capable of understanding whatsoever passes into the heart.
You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of me; and you are unwilling to come to me, that you may have life.” John 5:39, 40.
Through searching the Scriptures you will get to know more about God.
By becoming a believer you will have fellowship with God and by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior we become heirs and joint-heirs with Christ. This enables us to communicate more effectively with the father, Jesus told his disciples that, “if you see me you will have seen the father “John 14:8
Where the spirit of God is there is liberty, there is also freedom of expression without fear or anxiety, because perfect love cast away fear. Godly fear is no servile fear, but it is the heart that trembles and honors God’s word. Godly fear recognizes the Sovereignty of God.
However, the fear of god is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 1:7
All treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden with Christ, and when Christ is in the heart of a person, through divine revelation, and mutual understanding, the Holy Spirit will lead them to God. Through the redemption of Christ’s precious blood, God’s grace abounds in all wisdom and prudence. Those who love Christ have the love of God shed abroad in their hearts.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Proverbs 8:17
