I have to start off by saying that lumping the terms “pseudoscience” and “New Age” ideas in the same sentence is offensive. 
These are two separate entities. There are some Non-believers out there who hide behind terms like “skeptic” or the latest buzz phrase “Critical thinker”. These are the people who lump these separate terms together trying to give the impression that one implies the other.
Understanding Pseudoscience
Understanding pseudoscience is as easy as looking on the Internet under the term “fringe science”. Google returns over 2 million sites. The most popular are the conspiracy theory sites, Government cover-ups and the like. Google “New Age” and the returns come to over 690,000,000. 
The term “new age pseudoscience” returns 1,180,000 hits and number nine and number ten are two of these very articles on Helium!
Pseudoscience is just that, scientific theories that are not part of the “mainstream” academia. New age actually refers to very old ideas from the days of Pagans, druids, and man’s first attempts to understand his environment. Many of the new age ideas are now being looked at closely because they do appear to have some science now backing up these very old ideas.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy and the memory of water, plants responding to human intention, the sixth sense and being stared at… The list is quite extensive if one wants to look with an open mind. 
There are many documented studies on the so-called “New Age” ideas that are giving credence to these ideas. The Intention Experiment and the Global Consciousness Project headed by DR. Dean Radin. The information is out there for anyone to see. Or you can just say it’s all nonsense, that would be the skeptic or critical thinker. Look with an open mind, without expectations.
